twenty-third (23rd) year with the Alamance-Burlington School System (ABSS). I am excited
about the continuing opportunity to work closely with you and your children. As a social
worker, I deal with a range of academic, social, emotional, physical and mental issues.
Attendance, family issues, classroom learning difficulties, parent contacts, referrals to
community agencies and family resource allocation are only a sample of the issues I work on.
Please send me an email (casey_hill@abss.k12.nc.us), or call the school (336.578.0177) if I can be of assistance to you. I look forward to working with you this year!
Yours in Education,
Ms. Casey Hill, MSW

P.S. If you remember, I welcomed a new Chihuahua named Valentina (which means “brave” in
Spanish) into my home last year. I love sharing pictures of Valentina, so you will see some of them below.

Message from School Counselor- Elizabeth Tricomi
Dear Haw River Families,
I am Elizabeth Tricomi, our School Counselor. This is my third year at Haw River Elementary, and I am so happy to be part of such a wonderful school and community! The students here are amazing and I love watching them grow and develop academically, socially and emotionally, and explore their careers ideas.
As a counselor, I have the privilege to work with every single student in the school. My main responsibilities are to promote the academic, personal and social growth of all students. I do this through classroom lessons, small groups, as well as short-term individual counseling. I also meet with parents, collaborate with teachers and staff, and consult with community organizations to benefit and meet the needs of all students at Haw River.
Any student can request to meet with me or they can be referred by teacher, administrator or parent/guardian.
Warmest Regards,
Elizabeth Tricomi, School Counselor
