early life

Louis Pasteur was born on december 27,1822,in Dole,Jura,france.He grew up in the town of Arbois and his father,Jean Joseph Pasteur,was a tanner.Louis Pasteur was skilled at drawing and painting.

Louis taught and did research.He showed that germs made milk,wine,and food spoil.By 1864 he created a way to heat food for a few minutes to kill germs.

Louis wanted to teach science. He went to the best french school for science teachers.In 1849 he started teaching chemistry.
