From your Principal
Dear City Lab Family:
Hi All,
Good Morning! Welcome Back!
I hope your holiday season was one of joy, peace, and renewal!
We are on our way and ready to go for the 2nd semester.
I wanted to take the time and thanks our Girls Up Club for their donation to the Homeless Shelter and thank all the students that participated. Thank you to Ms. Avera- their sponsor.
Thank you also to our volunteers that supported or semester ending Project Based Learning Showcase. The students, judges, and staff were excited. It is certainly a highlight in the year. There will be another one at the end of the 2nd semester.
A huge shout out to our esports team. They competed over the holiday break and one of our students represented CityLab on the district team- Edward Bertadillo- this team took 2nd place in the area event. Thanks to Ms. Fuentes for sponsoring this exciting club!
Next Monday is parent conferences from 5:00-8:00. it is a drop in program, so you are welcome to attend any time through out the evening. It is important to attend this event and meet with your student's teachers. While there is not time for a long conference, there is time to get the report card and review your student's work. Feel free to bring your student with you. You are always welcome to schedule a longer conference with your child's teachers should you need that.
We look forward to seeing all parents at parent conference night from 5:00-8:00- Monday.
have a fabulous week and welcome back!
As always my door is open for concerns, questions, or feedback!
Sincerely,
Lynn Smith
