Principal's Message
Hello Families!
Our Fall Fundraiser is in full swing! We've already had a number of students come in to get their first round of U-Crew prizes! Thank you to everyone that has already registered and is participating in this wonderful opportunity. As a reminder, sales end on Friday, September 22nd! One more week! Let's do this!
I also wanted to give you a quick update on our parking lot. As you may have noticed, the trench in our front lot has been filled. We are waiting on a few small things before we can open that area back up to drop off. When that time comes, we will send out a separate message through all of our messaging systems about the change and appropriate parking lot procedures. Please remember that these procedures are in place to ensure that everyone has a positive, smooth morning drop off.
Next week is Picture Day! Packets/order forms should have gone home in your child's backpack this week. Extras are in the office if you need another copy. TK-1st graders (and Mrs. Price's 2nd Graders) will be on Tuesday. 2nd-4th grade will be on Wednesday. Make sure to practice your smile this weekend!
We also wanted to invite you all to join us on Tuesday evening for our Chipotle Dine Out event. This is a fun way to fundraise and avoid cooking in the process. Just by showing them the flyer below, Chipotle will donate a percent of their sales to our 4th grade Coloma Trip!
Finally, PTC will be hosting their first every Donuts with Grown-Ups! This is a great opportunity for kids to bring their favorite grown ups to school for a special treat. We will be serving donuts, coffee, and juice at no cost from 7:30-8:00 am behind the gym. We can't wait to see you there!
Have a great weekend Falcons!
Sincerely,
Heather Minton

We're looking to expand our Substitute Pool for this year. This is not just for people with teaching credentials. We have opportunities for all types of positions ranging from teachers, yard duties, library technicians, instructional aides, and custodial. The great thing about being a substitute is that you can be very flexible with your work schedule. If you are interested in learning more about subbing for our district, call the District Office at (530)644-5416. Start now to be ready by the start of next school year.
Parenting Classes - Hosted by El Dorado Hills Library
Dr. Paul Sunseri is conducting a series of no cost workshops for parents, therapists, and school staff. The second in the series, How to Improve Communication with Your Child or Teen is scheduled on September 23, 2023 11:00am to 1:00pm at the El Dorado Hills Library.
As you know, rates of depression, anxiety, and self-harm among young people have skyrocketed and this is unlikely to change anytime soon. The workshops are geared to the things families can do to reverse this trend and protect their child or teen against the various negative influences that are causing the problem (and despite what you hear, the problem isn't just social media).
Hope to see you there and please spread the word!
