Two Important Updates for Our Students and Families

Parkside Updates Two Important Updates for Our Students and Families

Student ID Cards

Students will be receiving their Parkside ID cards on Monday November 27. Students must have their School ID on them while on school property at all times. These IDs serve many purposes including school bus transportation, food services, student events and activities and library services.

Students are not allowed to deface their IDs by coloring, adding stickers, punching holes or changing the design of the ID. First card replacement is free. Subsequent cards are charged at $3.00 per issue. These fees shall be tracked and deposited into the school account. Students who purposely defaced their IDs will not be eligible for a free replacement card. Social Workers/Guidance Counselors can work with students to provide access to an additional replacement, if they meet the criteria for economically disadvantaged students as defined by the guidelines set forth by the state of New Hampshire and complete a restorative process to show how they will be more responsible with the replacement card.

Basketball Season Starts Monday

Parkside's first home game of the season is Monday November 27. Here is a list of procedures that students must follow in order to attend sporting events.

  1. All student spectators must have a Parkside ID for entry. Students who do not attend Parkside must be accompanied by a parent for entry (this includes younger and older siblings of Parkside students).
  2. Student spectators will be allowed into the building 5 minutes before the games start. Students must be picked up immediately after the game ends. Students who are not picked up within 15 minutes of a game ending will be restricted from attending future games.

  3. Parkside students, not accompanied by a parent, must sit in the Parkside fan section (bleachers closest to the lobby door).

  4. Students must be in school by 8:00AM and attend the entire school day (unless there is a doctor’s note) to be admitted. Absent students will not be allowed entry into games.

  5. The focus of attending a sporting event is that event and not the lobby or hallway. Students will be sent home if they are wandering the building or continuously exiting the gym. Students can’t leave the building and then return.

  6. Students exhibiting behavior that does not meet expectations will be removed from the game and restricted from attending future games.

  7. Students may be restricted from attending games for violations of the code of conduct during the school day. Students who owe detention hours will not be admitted.
