Mr. Farina's Weekly Wrap-Up

This week, we held our first Choral and Band concerts since December of 2019. Our students have performed virtually for the past two concert seasons and it was wonderful to welcome our ensembles back with live audiences. It was a great reminder of how talented our students are we are so appreciative of our families for fostering the love of music in our students. It was dually exciting as we were able to perform our concerts in our newly renovated Auditorium. It is exciting as six months ago all our students wrote their names on the floor of the demo'd Auditorium and this week, we were able to celebrate in our new space!!

On Monday, December 13th at 6:00 PM, a community presentation will be held to provide an overview of the District. This presentation will address multiple facets of the school district including demographic data, academic data, student engagement and community connections as well as a financial overview of the budgeting process. The goal of the presentation is to inform our parents and community of the numerous influences that impact the operations, education and financial decisions of the School District. We hope you are able to join us on Monday, December 13th at 6:00 PM at the Intermediate/Middle School. Each year, Mrs. Pany's 5th Grade writers create stories! This year's theme was to create a "ridiculously silly saga of 100 words!" Winning entries are included in a publication. This year, we had a whopping 71 students selected as winners for publication!!

Congratulations to our students for collecting the most THINK points in Imagine Math to win the Do Math! Pay It Forward! contest sponsored by Imagine Learning. This is a huge achievement. The combined efforts of our students and others across PA donated 12.5 million THINK points, which equals a $2,500 donation to Feeding Pennsylvania.

Thank you to our Librarian, Mrs. Peters and our parent volunteers for our Scholastic Book Fair! Our students thoroughly enjoyed the Book Fair and we were able to sell over $3,000 dollars of books to our young readers!!
