Pollinator Project: Mason Bee Houses
Dear Siskiyou School Parents,
It’s hard to believe that we will only have 10 more days of school. As always, the end of the year is very busy and many wonderful events are happening in these last days.
This week we look forward to seeing all parents on campus for parent teacher conferences. The board and I will hold the traditional 8th grade exit interview meetings with each 8th grade family. We always look forward to hearing from the exiting families about their experience at the school.
Next week the highlights are the Alum River Class Alum Celebration, the 8th grade Class Celebration with the faculty, and the 1st grade play.
In the last week of school we will all work hard to finish up and bind all main lesson books, to have last classes, to clean and mover the classrooms, and to have fun on the last day of school at Field Day!
The most important event is the Hummingbird Graduation on Thursday, June 8th at 5pm. We are so excited to see the class graduating; so many of these students have been at the school for eight years and Ms. Franczak has taught the class for all the eight years as well. Please be sure to read the details about graduation in the Office Section below!
We are surrounded by so many blessings at the school: A most beautiful campus, wonderful children and parents; dedicated and inspired teachers and admin staff and a very dedicated school board. We will together, before moving into the summer, close out the year celebrating so many highlights and achievements. I’m so proud and thankful for our whole school community.
Enjoy this beautiful weather, the blooming flowers and the trees dressed in so many greens!
With all my best, Aurilia

Bring cash for the 7th Grade Bake Sale and Plant Sale at conferences!
Classes 3-8 are REQUIRED to be at graduation, as those classes are part of the ceremony.
- ARRIVAL is at 4:45 on our campus to ensure we begin promptly at 5:00.
- Classes 1 & 2 are invited to attend and stay with their parents.
- Class 3: Students are required to attend. Students will be part of the beginning of the ceremony. Students will sit with their parents. Both parents of each student are invited; one parent will hopefully help with hosting the reception for the 8th grade parents; one parent can take their student home at the end of graduation.
- Class 4: Students are required to attend. Students will be part of the beginning of the ceremony. Students will sit with their parents.
- Classes 5-7: Students are required to attend. Students will be part of the beginning and the end of the ceremony. Students will sit with their teachers. We very much hope that at least one parent per student will attend the event.
Graduation Dress Code: Children should dress in “Sunday’s best”! Please note, that the weather promises to be sunny and warm. Plan to bring hats, sunscreen, and perhaps a water bottle.
Attendance at 8th Grade Reception:
The graduation ceremony itself is expected to end around 6:30 pm. After that, only 8th grade families and guests are to remain on campus.
Parking: Parking will be on Clay Street and in the Takelma neighborhood, not around Glendale. Please be mindful of the neighbors' driveways and park respectfully.
If you have any questions at all, please call the office. Thank you!

Home for Sale
This June, we are preparing to put our 3 bedroom, 2 bath home on Nova Drive on the market. It is located adjacent to the Takelma neighborhood, on a quiet, tree-lined street, just a short walk to Siskiyou School. The property is single story, about 1450 square feet with a lovely, grassy backyard and 7,000 sq ft lot. We are finishing a few improvements and will be preparing our price (probably low $500s) and listing details in the next 2 weeks. If anyone might be interested to learn more, please let us know. Wilded Family
I'm Steph Green - an artist and the founder of Wilded Family. When my family discovered Waldorf Schools, I finally felt at home. I found they are like safe havens where childhood can still exist, valuing the whole person and lifelong learning.
As my children grew, I painted and create resources to help them learn. If felt the call to share these products with others and over the years, I've made over 60 resources translated into various languages.
We've created plenty of tools to assist children in Numbers, Letters, Seasonal living, Science, and Celebrations, as well as for teachers in the classroom.
As an artist, I've felt the urge to give a part of myself away, so that my work can carry the essence of this education in art into homes and hearts of families around the globe. I've created collections that nourish families, allow for slow living, and connect people to nature.
I love to share the work I'm doing and the tools I've created with as many people as possible. I hope to make Waldorf Education more accessible and break down any barriers to entry.
