The questions on this assessment provide valuable information about their progress in that subject area. The information collected is used for statistical purposes only.

Registration for 2024-2025 School Year
Counselors will begin class registrtion fot the 2024-2025 school year with students starting on February 5th! Some important things to note:
- Registration is a two-step process - your student(s) will be bringing home a paper registration form that needs to be filled out and returned to their Advisory teacher by Tuesday, February 13th.
- Students will also need to login to Class Choice (which can bee accessed via their PowerSchool portal) to complete their registration by selecting their preferred electives and alternate elective options. ** Please note, all attempts will be made to place students in their preferred electives and/or alternates. However, due to class sizes and section availability, students may be placed in an elective chosen by the scheduling team.**
- Class Choice registration will close at 4:00 pm on Thursday, February 15th so all selections need to be made by that time.
New Student Computers
Our school has been selected to pilot a new computer for the school district. All 6th and 7th-grade students will trade in their current Lenovo computer and charging cord and receive a new HP computer and charging cord. The new computer has a stylus pen that docks above the keyboard. Please remind your student(s) to be aware that lost or damaged pens may result in a fine of $30.00. Current 8th graders will trade in their HP computer and charging cord and receive a new Lenovo computer and charger. The new Lenovo has a built-in stylus pen that may result in a fine of $30.00 if lost or damaged. 8th graders will take the Lenovo with them for use in high school.
Please help us make this transaction smooth by reminding your student(s) to bring their current computer, charger, and stylus pen (if they have one) to school every day.

Can You Spot the Vapes?
PAVE (Parents Against Vaping) hosted a webinar recently that included a demonstration of how easily kids "hide" their vapes in plain site. Check out this photo and see if you can spot the four vapes.
Check your answers in the photo below. Did you find all four vapes?

Attendance
Please call the office when your student is late or staying home from school. Doctor/dentist/orthodontist/counselor notes will waive absences so they do not count against the number of absences your child has. Please turn in those notes to the attendance secretary, or ask your provider to fax the school excuse note to 208-350-4074.
We have a large number of students with recurring appointments who check out of school. Due to the large volume, it is more difficult to keep track of attendance without a note each visit. Please ask your provider for a school excuse note each time your child visits a dentist, doctor, orthodontist, counselor, etc. so we can be sure to keep accurate attendance records.
We appreciate your assistance.
PowerSchool
PowerSchool is your access to your students' grades, assignments, attendance records, and standardized test scores. It is also a tool that
parents use to update demographic information as well as your student's medical information. If you are having difficulty accessing your account or need to create an account, please contact the office at 208-350-4060.
