Celebrating another week at Berryton Elementary School
Berryton Families,
A few things I have observed and experienced over the past week:
- Berryton Zoo- Our third graders experienced project based learning where they researched, investigated, and learned about an animal of their choosing. Students used this information to create a visual replication of this animal. Our students did a great job presenting their research and showcasing their animals.
- Native American Research- Our 5th graders completed their presentations on their Native American Research. Students studies various tribes' geography, customs, and means of obtaining food. This was a great opportunity for our students to build public speaking skills.
- Kindergarten Feast- Last week our students in kindergarten celebrated Thanksgiving together by sharing dishes from home. Multiple families joined in our festivities and celebrated with our students.
We can't wait to celebrate all of the special men in the lives of our students on Friday Morning at Donuts for Dads from 8:15-8:55. Additionally, we look forward to seeing many of you at Berryton on Saturday for our PTO Craft Fair from 9am-3pm. There are multiple vendors who will be selling a wide variety of items.
It's great to be a Berryton Buffalo,
Mrs. Bervert, Principal
Lost and Found Items
Missing your child's coat or lunchbox? All lost and found items are located in the second cupboard in the room adjacent to the cafeteria. We encourage parents and guardians to visit this space if you are missing any items for your students.
Coats, Hats, and Scarves- Oh My!
It is getting towards the time of year where students need gear for colder weather, and this gear can be expensive. Thus, if you have any needs for getting students coats, hats, gloves, or scarves please contact Mrs. Melissa Boyer, School Counselor. Her email is boyerm@usd450.net. She has numerous community contacts and is a great resource.
Holiday Sing Along Update
Our students and staff are excited to join our voices together in singing holiday favorites on Friday, December 20 at 2:30 pm. Students are invited to wear appropriate pajamas, and we will have classroom parties immediately following the sing along. We hope to have you join us!
