Welcome to our CTS Snapshot - a weekly celebration update. We are delighted to share with parents and carers the launch of #AmbitionForAll. Throughout February we will be highlighting the achievements of our students. We will also have exciting events going on in school. We will keep you up to date with these events through the Snapshot, the school website and Twitter.

Below are pictures and details of some of the exciting events that have taken place this week.
Harry Potter Event
A group of Year 7 students took part in a Harry Potter themed event at Corby Business Academy. Students were able to dress as their favourite characters and take part in exciting activities.
Believe Big Launch
As part of the launch of #AmbitionForAll the Believe Big competition was also launched this week. Year 7, 8 and 9 students will complete against other Trust secondary schools with ideas on how to make a difference in the world. This will take place in STEM and RSCS lessons.
House Cup Assembly
We had an inspiring assembly this week led by Mr Chatfield recognizing the achievements of Telford this month and encouraging all students to strive to retain the House Cup this year.

- Miss Watt has nominated the Year 11 German students for amazing results during the mock speaking exams.
- Mr Cox has nominated Maddie 9S and Abbie 9C for great character work in Drama.
- Mr Cox has also nominated Ana 8S for excellent work connecting concepts in Science.
- Mr McRae-Smith has nominated Jack 9S for consistent good effort and attitude in German.
- Miss Tween would like to congratulate her Year 10 English students for a fantastic Parent/Carer Consultation Evening.
- Miss Fenner has nominated Evelyn 11C and Daryl 10T for improved attitude and effort in English and also Abbie 10T for contributions to class.
- Mr Harley would like to say Congratulations to Year 9 Engineers, David, AJay, Finlaye and Miller who won the team building Trebuchet Engineering Competition , they were judged by the other teams for aesthetics, function, quality, distance, accuracy and team work.
- Miss Connellan has nominated Julia 7CA for excellent presentation and work in her English book.
Staff:
- Miss Tween has nominated the English department for their department for their positive attitudes and team effort.
Celebration of Student Work:
Year 9 Netball
Our Year 9 Netball team took part in a competition against other Trust schools. All students performed brilliantly. Well done!
Comic Con 2018
A limited amount of places are still available for the trip which will take place on Saturday 17th March. Further details can be found on the school website.
Year 8 - STEM Robotics
Students have been working extremely hard this week as part of their Robotics Challenge.
Reminders:
- Year 9 Progress Evening will take place on Wednesday 7th February, please book your appointments using the online system.
- Year 11 Progress Evening - by invitation only. Further details will be sent our shortly.
- The school production of Oliver will take place on Wednesday 21st and Thursday 22nd February in the George Weston Theatre, tickets will be available from school reception.
