Welcome Back!
Save the Number
Intermediate School Office Number: 573-635-6864
PLEASE NOTE!!! Currently, at times, our number shows up as a spam call on your caller ID. We are working with the telephone company to correct that. We will be sure to leave a message if we call, but be mindful to check those messages.
Note from Dr. Walters
I was encouraged by a parent to try something fun she saw on TikTok. It definitely isn't perfect as I didn't have much time to practice, but it was fun regardless. It was a perfect opportunity to talk about how we all mess up but we keep trying. Our BIS version of "Fancy Like". Enjoy!
Fun note: Yes, Dr. Walters does do silly things by request. Anything that can help brighten our students' day is definitely a consideration!
Do Your Part
Don't forget to send your child with a water bottle each day.
Papa John's Night

State and District Test Results Sent Home
Stanford and MAP score reports were sent home this week with students. Keep an eye out for them in folders or feel free to ask your student.
Students in grade 2 were given the Stanford Achievement test. The report shares the National Percentile Rank for Total Reading, Total Math, Language, Spelling, Environment, Listening, and Complete Battery. It also includes a short description of each and what you can do at home to help them in that specific area.
Students in grades 3-8 were assessed in English Language Arts and Math. Those in grades 5 and 8 also take Science assessments. Each test produces an Individual Student Report (ISR) that includes an achievement level, which will describe the student performance as Below Basic, Basic, Proficient, or Advanced. The report also includes a short description of the knowledge and skills that are typically demonstrated by students in each achievement level.
The Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) published a Guide to Interpreting Results (GIR) that provides additional details about the content of the Individual Student Reports. The GIR is available on the DESE website at: http://dese.mo.gov/college-career-readiness/assessment/grade-level.
