Announcements & Updates

- Reminders for 8th grade parents:
  • Please carefully review the email sent yesterday re: course recommendation packets. Yellow/white copies of the triplicate form must be returned to school on Monday,
  • If you have not done so already, please purchase "Cancel for Any Reason" insurance for the 8th grade trip. Specific information and instructions were included in Mrs. Toth's February 7 communication.
  • The deadline to pay the final balance of the 8th grade trip ($299.00) is Friday, March 4.


- If you have not done so already, please review the February 23 email regarding revisions to the 2021-2022 school calendar.


- Final reminder for students interested in trying out for a Spring sport (LAX, Baseball, Softball):

  • Sports forms must be submitted to the Health Office by Friday, March 4. All PPE's will be reviewed by Mrs. Austenberg and cleared for try-outs by the school physician before the Spring season. Tryouts are scheduled for the week of March 14.

  • Students who do not have the mandated PPE (and HHU if needed) turned in will not be eligible to try out.

  • Dr. Porter will be in to clear all PPEs on March 10.

A note from Ms. Walsh

Happy snow day Mountain View! Last week I shared with you all the importance of effective communication, and ways that we can practice effective communication at home. Family dinner is a wonderful way to encourage effective communication, and it has many other benefits to a family unit as well. Check out the links below for more information on how family dinner promotes positive attachment, good behaviors, and a healthy relationship with food.


Additionally, although today was scheduled as an Advisory day, we have rescheduled to Monday. The 6th,7th and 8th graders will be having class discussions on resiliency, and the 5th graders are on their fifth NJBar Foundation Bullying Prevention lesson, talking about responsible reporting.
