Attention 8th Grade Students and Families

First, we are extending the deadline for the 8th grade t-shirts. Please use the link in the Parkland newsletter or find the link in the 8th Grade myMCPS announcements. Also, we will be uploading the 8th Grade Virtual Promotion Ceremony on Friday, June 12 for our 8th grade students and families. Please mark your calendars and we will be providing more information soon.

Thursday, May 28 - Capital Area Food Bank

On Thursday, May 28, Capital Area Food Bank will be providing groceries and other pantry items starting at 2:00 pm in our parking lot.

End of Year Plans - Picking Up Student Belongings

At this time, MCPS is making plans on how students and staff can at some point return to the building to pick up their belongings. There are no official dates or plans at this moment and we will share this information with you as soon as it becomes available.

Limited Number of Yearbooks Available

The books are available for purchase for staff and students while supplies last. The cost is $45.00. There is also a 3 payment plan option. You can use the link below to order online or go to the Parkland website "Yearbook order NOW"

Tutoring Support

As a support, the National Honors Society at JFK High School is offering tutoring support for students. Please see the newsletter for more information. We will also be posting list of resources in the newsletters and on the Parkland webage.

Food Distribution

Parkland and other MCPS schools are providing free meals (Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner) between the hours of 11:00 am to 1:00 pm (except Thursdays). Please see below for the list of schools.

There is another opportunity at Sargent Shriver Elementary School on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 3:00 pm. We recommend parents to line up early, we serve the food on a first-come, first-serve basis
