Diocese of Raleigh Virtual School
Beginning 2021-2022 school year
You are invited to join this new journey with us!
The Office of Education is partnering with Catholic Virtual to offer a new option for Catholic education in the Diocese of Raleigh. Beginning with the school year 2021-2022, students can attend the Diocese of Raleigh Virtual School. This new school will offer a 100% Catholic virtual school experience for grades kindergarten through grade 8. While this option is not for everyone, there is a need in our Diocese to reach the students who would flourish in this environment.
Start date:
Catholic Virtual expects to begin the 2021-2022 school year mid-August. The exact date will be posted on our website in June.
General Guidelines for Enrollment
As the primary educators of your children, we understand each family will determine what type of education best meets the needs of their children; therefore, please review the following enrollment guidelines:
* Students must be enrolled in the 1st semester of the virtual school in order to enroll for the
2nd semester
* Commitment for the full year is preferred, however not required
* Please note: Families who wish to return to brick and mortar Catholic schools in semester 2 are subject to the parish school's admission process. Seats cannot be saved.
Eligibility
Kindergarten students must be five (5) years of age by September 1, 2021
Current families who are attending our Catholic schools are invited to register if your current school will not offer a remote option next year.
Students who are homeschooled or attend other public/private schools are eligible to register.
If you have a student who may have special accommodations for their learning needs, Catholic Virtual will assist in determining the ability of meeting those individual needs on a case by case basis. Please refer to the Catholic Virtual contact information below.
In accordance with guidelines for the NC Opportunity Scholarship program and the NC Disability Grant program, funds awarded by these programs may not be used to pay for tuition at the Diocese of Raleigh Virtual School.
