Cross Country Advances!

Congratulations to our Cross Country Teams for all of their success!

For the Varsity Girls Race:

Victoria Carbajal got 12th place overall

Mary Bell got 3rd place overall and qualified for Regionals!

For the Varsity Boys race:

Cristofer Gomez got 35th place

Allen Meyers got 33rd place

Victor Trevino got 30th place

Braxton Gould got 21st place

Logan Maldonado got 11th place

Isaias Mendoza got 4th place

Erick Ramirez got 2nd place

Our boys team got second overall and qualified their team for regionals as well!

Band Advances to Area!

Congratulations to the Buffalo Band, they received straight ones from all three judges and First Division Rating at the Region 32 Marching Band Contest! They will compete at the Area competition on October 28th at China Springs. Way to go Band!

Student Service

For the 6th year in a row the Florence FFA donated the most can in their division (1773 cans) to the North Texas Food Bank winning the Big Tex Golden Globe trophy. As the winners the Florence FFA also received a $500 check to donate to the Florence Food Pantry. Great job FFA!

HOSA students hosted their first blood drive as an organization last week. The blood drive collected 12 units of blood which could save 36 lives. Great job HOSA!

Angel Callen was recognized as the FCA coach of the year, congratulations!

Important Upcoming Events

PSAT/SAT Prep

Juniors, on 10/18/23, you will need to bring your Chromebook to school fully charged and prepared to be used during the second period to conduct a system check for the PSAT. This will ensure that your device works properly and will not have issues when the test is administered on 10/26/23.

Seniors that are testing, on 10/19/23 during second period, we will be conducting the pre-registration paperwork for the SAT that will be administered on 10/26/23. This will allow us to fill out our answer sheets with personal information and provide the College Board with the universities or programs you want your scores sent to. Be sure to make it to this event because it will help with a speedier test day.
