The deadline for voter registration is coming soon. Your vote matters! Please make sure your registration is complete and up to date. The last day to register to vote is April 6th.

If you haven't already done so, please take a moment to complete our annual Parent and Community Survey. We value your feedback.

Your child's attendance a school is important to us!

Students enrolled in prekindergarten or kindergarten are required to attend school and are subject to the compulsory attendance requirements as long as they remain enrolled. Attendance reports are sent through Skyward each Thursday. You will receive a phone call from the office when days need to be made up. If you have any questions, please reach out to Mrs. Colwell.

Griffis classes will be participating in weekly challenges for the month of April. We have some FUN incentive awards planned!

Our next and final scheduled Parent Lunch on the Lawn is Friday, April 14th.

Lunch times are listed below. You may bring food for your child or they can get a tray from the cafeteria. You may park in the front or back of Griffis and enter by the soccer fields. Please arrive early so that you have plenty of time to get settled in before your child’s lunch time. We are looking forward to seeing you!

If the weather does not permit, the lunch will not be rescheduled and will resume the next month.

Griffis PTO invites you to join your student for donuts at Griffis. PreK, Kindergarten & First Grade will be on Thursday, 4/27 & 2nd, 3rd and 4th Grade will be on Friday, 4/28. Both events will be from 7:30-8:00 in the Griffis Cafeteria. Please complete the RSVP by Tuesday, 4/25.

We need your help! We are calling on all local business owners and individuals who would like to make a monetary contribution to our Field Day on May 12th. Donations will help with bounce house costs and other field day supplies. For more information, please contact Travis Summers at tsummers@caddomillisisd.org.

Students not in the building by the 8:00 A.M. bell are considered tardy. Please refer to our campus handbook regarding our tardy policy. If your child is tardy, please do not drop your child off. For their safety, your child should be signed in. Please come to the front to sign them in.

We are excited to continue this program with Griffis Elementary PTO this coming this year!

The Watch D.O.G.S. Program brings male role models such as dads, stepdads, grandpas, uncles, etc. into the school for the betterment of the school, the students, and the community!!

We ask for a commitment of a partial or full school day just ONCE per year! Of course, you can volunteer more often!

Each month, we will focus on a particular character trait. Mrs. Wygal will give daily announcements regarding that trait to help the students put it into action. Each month, teachers will be looking for positive referrals from their class that they feel has best demonstrated the monthly trait. The trait for the month of April is Humility.
