End of Year (EOY) Testing: Important end of the year testing is now underway! We would like to encourage families ensure their students are present during these testing windows and get a good night's sleep and eat a nutritious breakfast each day! Remember, students can eat breakfast for free each morning! Students in 3rd-6th grades will begin MAP testing this week! It is important for your child to arrive to school on time each day!

School Library Books Due: All library books that belong to the school are due this Friday, May 20. If you see any school books at home, please send those to school with your child!

Basketball Camp: Elementary Basketball Camp for Kindergarten through 4th grade is this Tuesday, May 17 through Thursday, May 19 from 3:30-5:00. Students who have registered for this camp will stay after school and be walked to the High School Gym. Please make sure your student has tennis shoes each day for camp. Students will need to be picked up at 5:00 PM from the High School Gym.

Kindergarten Graduation: Kindergarten Graduation is Tuesday, May 24 at 6:00 PM in the High School Gym. Doors will open at 5:20 PM. Students will need to be in their classroom by 5:30 so we can ensure we get their caps and gowns on them in time for the ceremony!

Summer School: We are now registering students who are incoming kindergarten through incoming 8th graders for summer school! The flyer below explains all the fun options we have for our older students! Summer School is encouraged for all students! If you need an extra form, please let us know so we can send one home or you can stop by the office to fill one out!

End of Year Awards Ceremony: We will be holding our End of Year Awards Ceremonies on Friday, June 3 at the following times:

Kindergarten through 2nd grades will be from 12:45 PM-1:45 PM.

3rd - 6th grades will be from 2:00 PM-3:00 PM.

Your child's teacher will let you know if your child is receiving an award prior to the last week of school.

Class Placements for 2022-2023 School Year: We are excited to try something new this year to allow students and teachers the chance to meet earlier and start getting excited for the upcoming school year! On the last day of school, students who will be in 1st - 6th grades next year will get to find out who their teacher will be. If our new staff members can be in Crane that day, then students will get to meet their teacher!

Still Important...

Absences: If your child is going to be absent from school, regardless of reason, we need you to call the Elementary office to let us know. If you call before anyone is at school, please leave a voicemail letting us know your child's name and reason for absence. The office phone number is 417-723-5300 ext. 1301.

Transportation Changes: We understand plans can change throughout the day. If transportation plans change for your child, please call the office to let Whitney know so she can ensure your child gets the message. Some parents have been messaging teachers on Dojo and there are days teachers do not see messages until after students have left for the day. We would hate to miss an important message!
