From March 29th thru March 31st, Twenty Six (26) of Pasco's best science students competed at the state level and performed brilliantly, bringing home 21 awards.

I AM A SCIENTIST SPOTLIGHT

To counteract the stereotypes and ensure a more equitable future for STEM, we need more classrooms and resources that celebrate the incredible range of personalities, interests, backgrounds, and pursuits that drive discovery and progress. Every month, we will be sharing a new "I AM A SCIENTIST" spotlight highlighting an amazing real world scientist.

We encourage you to share this information and the scientist's story with your students each month. Because every student deserves a chance to see themselves in science.

She fell in love with the idea of “clean energy” (seeking out responsible energy sources) and saw it as a way to protect nature
She studies how we can build our future electric power systems so that we can live how we want and also protect our air, water, and earth.

The Pasco Environmental Programs Team has available dates for HS program visits. More info can be found at EcoResearchers Program Site.
