A Message From Your Principal
Greetings, Eames Way Families!
We can't believe next week is the FINAL school week of 2023! We've been making the remaining time of this calendar year count at EWS -- even with all of the seasonal festivities, our students are focused on learning, exploring, and refining their skills across subject areas.
We are very thankful for the close to 100 students who gave up their recesses this Friday to make cards for senior citizens in the Marshfield Community. Special thanks goes to our family volunteers who helped make sure everyone had enough paint and paper to complete the project! The cards will be drying over the weekend, but we know our students' creations will bring a lot of joy to a lot of people!
We are excited for our Winter Concert next Wednesday and look forward to EWS Spirit Week, which begins with Pajama Day next Monday! Please be sure to check our "Dates And Events To Remember" for more information on our Spirit Week and Winter Concert times! Have a wonderful weekend, EWS!
With Best Wishes,
Ms. Bishop, Principal

HEALTHY HOLIDAY SEASON
Here are a few tips to stay healthy and stop the spread this holiday season:
Practice hand hygiene frequently with soap and water or hand sanitizer.
Cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue. If a tissue is not available, cover them with an elbow, not a hand.
Clean high-touch surfaces in your home frequently with household disinfectants.
Keep your child home from school if they have a fever, especially in combination with a cough, difficulty breathing, shortness of breath, congestion, runny nose, or sore throat. They should remain home until they are fever-free for 24 hours without fever-reducing medications.
Avoid social gatherings if you or your children are ill.
Proper handwashing, nutrition, adequate hydration, and regular sleep are the best ways to prevent illness. These strategies also shorten the duration of an illness.
Helpful tips for students to be successful at school:
Please pack a healthy snack EVERY DAY. Great snacks include easy-to-eat fruits and veggies like apples, oranges, carrots, and cucumbers as well as whole grain snacks including granola bars, and crackers. Cheese sticks and yogurts are another great option. These ideas help keep hungry bellies at bay and students ready to learn!
Have your child bring a water bottle to school EVERY DAY. The students have access to the bottle fillers and can refill their water bottles as needed throughout the day.
We want to be able to send students outside for as long as possible despite the chilly temps. Please be sure students dress in layers for school- they need warm weather gear for outdoor play even when the inside temperature is warm. If students do not have appropriate warm weather/snow gear their outside activities may be somewhat limited so they stay warm and safe.
