Schedules for most of these events can be found at our basketball website, and as the rest of the schedules are provided to us, we will be sure to include those schedules on the website as well.
June will be a busy month, but it is a key component in our goal of developing the best basketball program in the state of Arizona. We look forward to working with all of you this summer as we take steps towards the 2015-2016 winter season.
CHS Coaching Staff
Mark Nold (Head Coach)
Coach Mark Nold is entering his third season as the Head Basketball Coach at Chandler High School. In Coach Nold's first two years at Chandler the Wolves have recorded a record of 32-25 and made it back to the State Playoffs in both seasons. Coach Nold has a wealth of coaching experience and success building strong programs at the high school level. He began his coaching career at Moon Valley High School where he helped Moon Valley win its first ever state championship in 1998 while having the privilege of coaching NBA star Richard Jefferson. After his time at Moon Valley, Coach Nold took over the struggling basketball program at Apollo High School where he orchestrated a dramatic turnaround; leading Apollo to three consecutive state championships from 2005-2007. After his time at Apollo, Coach Nold moved to Perry High School where he built the Perry basketball program into a perennial power from the ground up. During his time at Perry, Coach Nold led the Pumas to the playoffs in their first four years of varsity competition, including two trips to the elite eight.
Coach Nold has also been recognized numerous times throughout his career as an outstanding coach, including awards such as: 2004 Northwest Valley Coach of the Year, 2006 4AI Arizona Coaches Association Coach of the Year, 2006 Wells Fargo Region Coach of the Year, 2006 Arizona Republic Northwest Valley Coach of the Year, 2007 Arizona Republic Northwest Valley Coach of the Year, 2007 Arizona Republic Big School Coach of the Year, 2007 AIA Everyday Heroes Coach of the Year, 2007 4AI Coaches Association Coach of the Year, and 2007 Wells Fargo Region Coach of the Year. In addition to his experience at the high school level, Coach Nold has also gained valuable coaching experience as a Coach at the 2005 UCLA Elite Camp.

Kyle Darr (Varsity Assistant Coach)
Coach Darr moved to Arizona from Milford, MI, after spending his high school years at St. Mary's Preparatory school. Upon completing high school, he moved to Arizona to attend Northern Arizona University, and received his degree in English Education. Coach Darr also recently finished his master's degree in educational leadership and administration at ASU. Coach Darr works with the varsity players on a daily basis in practice and during games. Coach Darr is also in charge of team public relations. Coach Darr teaches English 9 and 12 on the Chandler High Campus.

Jonathan Rother (JV Head Coach)
Coach Rother is entering his 7th year of coaching high school basketball. As a high school basketball player he was a 2 year captain and won team MVP his senior year while winning Sodus High School's first sectional title in over 30 years. As a college basketball player he was a 4 year starter, scoring over 1,200 points during his career, and was awarded Rookie of the Year in his conference and won all conference awards.
As a high school basketball coach he has been a Varsity Head Basketball coach in New Jersey and has been the head JV basketball coach at Saguaro High School. Coach Rother specializes in the development of the forward and centers having played those positions in college. He looks forward to coaching the JV basketball team this year.

Jay Troutt (Freshman Head Coach)
Coach Troutt was born in Phoenix, AZ to parents of Kenneth and Sally Troutt. Coach Troutt attended Alhambra High school in Phoenix. After graduation, he attended Northern Arizona University, where he played two years of basketball as a scholarshipped member of the Lumberjack basketball team. Coach Troutt received his undergrad degree in health education from NAU, and has since earned masters degrees in leadership education from NAU and an additional masters in Phyiscal education from ASU. Coach Troutt is excited to return to coaching basketball where his coaching career started, and we are very excited to add him as a member of our coaching staff.
