Shine in #205

CUSD #205 is kicking off “Shine in #205” for the 2023-2024 school year. The program is aimed to provide recognition for district employees who go the extra mile for students in #205. Each month there will be two staff members selected from the nominations. Parents, Guardians, Co-Workers, Community members are all welcome to nominate a CUSD

#205 staff member.

Give Back Galesburg is a volunteer group supporting the OFS Kleine Pediatric Wellness Center programming here in Galesburg and also engaging the community in the value of giving and philanthropy. The Gold Out T-shirt night will be part of the boys' basketball game vs. Rock Island High School on Friday, January 19, 2024.

Envelopes will be provided to the office staff for any money/checks turned in.

All money collected needs to be locked in safe at the end of each school day.

Students/Staff will have their shirt delivered to their building

All other shirts can be picked up at GJSHS on Thursday, January 18th from 4-6 p.m. or at the

Gold-Out Game on January 19th, 2024.

It's Getting Cold Outside!

Our students go outside for recess as long as the real feel temperature is 20 degrees or warmer. To play in the snow, students must have snow pants, coat, gloves, hat, and snow boots. If you are a family in need, please reach out to your teacher or Mrs. Mowen (tmowen@galesburg205.org) to see what we have.
