Principal's Message

Dear Parent(s),

Congratulation to the 240 students who received a Certificate of Excellence for reaching an average of 80+ in one or more classes. This is an outstanding accomplishment and our students should be proud of themselves.

The GYAC volleyball tournament has been rescheduled for Nov. 25th, please talk to your son/daughter's coach for additional information.

Thank you to parents who are using our pgms@gypsd.ca to report absences, it really helps reduce our calls home.

Students who are enrolled in options at Parkland, please note that they do not return to our school at the end of the day. To ensure that your son/daughter receive any messages, please contact the Pine Grove before 2:10 pm.

Lastly, we are experiencing some difficulty with students arriving to school without appropriate clothing or footwear. Students are required to go outside (up to -20) for a break during lunch and for daily physical activity. Please remind your son/daughter to dress according to the weather.

Community Snow Removal

8F students met some of their volunteerism outcomes for health on

sidewalks. Great work 8F!

GNS : Good News Story

Hockey Hooky

Pine Grove is offering an optional Hockey Hooky field trip to Rogers Place in Edmonton on February 8, 2022. Oil Kings vs. Regina Pats. Permission forms will be available in the office starting November 16th and tickets can be purchased in the office for $40.00 each (100 tickets ONLY). Please note that if you are interested in attending, the venue (Rogers Place) has an implemented proof of vaccination rule as of Sept 28, 2021. When purchasing tickets, your proof of vaccination will need to be shown in order to secure your spot on the trip. If you are planning to attend and bring a negative test result on the day of the event, that can be communicated as well. Please note that any testing or vaccinations for this event will be at your own expense and your own choice, as this is an optional field trip.
