PTCC celebrates Staff Appreciation Week
How lucky are we to have such a dedicated, caring, talented staff to educate our children!
Please join the PTCC in showering GLOBE’s staff with love and gratitude next week, May 8–12. The PTCC will be delivering treats each day — here’s a look at what’s in store — and we know it will be especially meaningful for educators to receive notes or cards from their students all week long.
5th grade students cross the finish line!
Congratulations to the team of 5th grade students who participated in the Girls on the Run 5K at Center Parc Stadium in downtown Atlanta on Saturday, joined by UC Head of School, Dr. Priscilla Noble. The weather was superb and there were lots of smiles, high-fives and inspiration as hundreds of participants crossed the finish line. This 5K celebration represented the culmination of 12 weeks of hard work and dedication as the girls participated in lessons to foster confidence, build peer connections and encourage service, all while working toward their goal of completing a 5K.
Global Studies Symposium
Georgia State University and Georgia Tech recently collaborated to host The Atlanta Global Studies Symposium. The in-person event welcomed partners, faculty, students, community organizers, K–12 teachers, and the public to connect, to discover the impact of collaboration, and to celebrate the diversity and global vitality of the region. Pictured at the event is GLOBE's Director of Language Program, Sandra Daniel (right), with Patrick Wallace, Program Specialist for Curriculum and Instruction / World Languages and Global Workforce Initiatives for The Georgia Department of Education.

Board of Directors
Strategic planning
Please remember to share your input on the 2024–29 strategic plan. We want to get a clear understanding of what is most important to our community, so we can use these priorities to shape GLOBE’s next five years.
This survey is deliberately open-ended; as the design of our strategic plan progresses, you’ll see additional opportunities to provide more narrowly focused input.
GLOBE Elementary
Remember that the first community session to learn more about GLOBE Elementary, ask your questions, and provide input is coming up on Thursday, May 11 at 8:30 a.m. at Lower Campus. Please submit your questions for this session by May 7.
A second session will follow on Wednesday, May 17 at 7:30 p.m.
Committee recruitment
The Board continues to seek volunteers for committee service. If you are interested in getting involved, please let us know.
Annual Fund
Thanks to the generosity of our community — we appreciate you! — GLOBE is so close to reaching our Annual Fund goal of $150,000. Will you help us get the final $10,000 before the end of the year?
