Welcome to another wonderful week at Parkway Elementary! I can't believe we have completed an entire month of school already! Our kiddos have done an amazing job - we have our routines well established and our students are working hard each day showing incredible academic progress.
Here are a few important dates for your calendars:
- September 21: 1st Nine Weeks Progress Reports go home with students
- September 21: Fall Pictures
- September 21: Early Dismissal for students. All secondary schools (Bryant High, Bryant Jr High, Bryant Middle, and Bethel) will be holding parent/teacher conferences. All schools will dismiss early on this day. Parkway will dismiss at 1:45. Please plan accordingly. Elementary conferences will be held October 21.
- September 29: PES Flu Clinic (Please be watching for more information/forms)
- September 30: Last day for the Peanut Butter Drive
Beginning Monday, Sept. 13, anyone picking up students in the car line who doesn't have a car tag will have to drive to the front, park, and go inside the office to check students out. Everyone must have a car tag. We now have extra car tags in the office. Every child received one tag at the beginning of the year. If additional tags are needed, they can be purchased for $2 from the office. Thank you for helping us keep our students safe and our car line moving smoothly.
Please remember our tardy bell rings at 7:55 am each morning. Students arriving after 7:55 will need to be checked in at our office. Please do not drop students off in our car lines after 7:55 am - we do not have duty personnel there to assist them into the building.
We are working on getting our WATCH DOG program up and running! Even though we still can't have visitors in our building at this time, we are planning some activities (ex. helping load/unload cars, assisting with Mom/Son Night, etc) to get our Dads involved. If you are interested in the program, please see the flyer below for information on how to sign up!
