Senior Spring Checklist
Seniors, here are some to-dos for this semester:
_____Compare your financial aid award notifications. Check your college portal to see if you’ve been awarded scholarships and financial aid.
_____If you haven’t yet, fill out the FAFSA. The priority deadline is April 1st.
_____Turn in Scholarship Reporting information to Mrs. Reese. This is a list of all the scholarships you have received from every college and/or organization to which you applied.
_____Continue to apply for scholarships. Check The Scholarship List frequently.
____ Turn in WPHS Local Scholarships, due to Mrs. Reese by March 31st before 4:00pm.
- You need two scholarship recommendation forms. Include the yellow recommendation slip, your resume, and personal profile when you make the request.
- Turn in a copy of your Activities Resume, your Checklist, and the Local Scholarship Form.
- Check Mrs. Reese’s door to make sure both your recommendations have been received.
- Turn in applications for the scholarships that require separate applications.
_____Submit your Campus Housing registration fee and deposit.
_____Register for new-student orientation at your college.
Local Scholarships
Class Registration Schedule
The class registration process for next year has started! Registration Night for current 8-10th graders will be held on Monday, February 27th in the school cafeteria. Scheduling information, high school requirements, and other pertinent information will be reviewed.
Registration Night Schedule
- Current 8th graders @ 6:00
- Current 9th graders @ 6:45
- Current 10th graders @ 7:30
Registration for Other Grades
- Current 11th graders will meet with Mrs. Reese individually by appointment during the month of February.
- Current 7th graders will be registering as a class during the school day.
Viewing Class Registration on PowerSchool
Once your child has registered, you will be able to review their course selections on PowerSchool by clicking the Class Registration button on the left hand side of the screen. I encourage students to review their classes with their parents and make changes if needed. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Mrs. Reese.
Leadership Experience Opportunity for 9th graders!
Nebraska HOBY Youth Leadership is excited to announce an exciting leadership opportunity for 9th grade students from Norfolk and surrounding communities.
- We will be hosting a one-day leadership experience on Saturday, March 25, 2023 from 9:30 am - 3:00 pm at the Norfolk Public Library
- During this no-cost event, 9th graders will participate in several sessions including great speakers, leadership activities, service learning project, and reflections. It will be a fun, informative day with students from throughout the area.
- Registration is now open for up to three students from each school.
