K-5 First day of school!

We are excited to see your students for the first day of school. Students will enter the building through their grade level doors. Staff will be at the doors to help students get to their classrooms. Families if you would like to enter the building you will need to come through the office with an ID to obtain a badge to be in the building. The safety of your children is our highest priority. At the end of the day students will exit through their grade level doors. Please make sure that you have a meeting place set up to meet your students at the end of the day.

Principal Hawthorne Elementary

Please make sure that students leave all personal toys at home. If students bring items from home to school, they will be asked to leave their toy in their backpack in the coatroom outside the classroom. If students bring toys or personal items to school, Hawthorne staff is not responsible for those items if they are lost or stolen. Please have your student leave their personal items at home.

Student cell phones will be turned off and turned into the teacher at the beginning of the day. Cell phones will be kept in the teacher's desk to prevent theft. If a student chooses not to hand in their phone to the teacher it then must be turned off and kept in the student's backpack in the coatroom. If students choose not to give their phone to the teacher, Hawthorne staff is not responsible for those items if they are lost or stolen.
