Weekly Update

The Eagles Softball Team are 12-0 with wins over Mainland (12-0), Hammonton (8-1), and Vineland(9-8) this week.

Against Mainland, Madison Dollard threw a no hitter. Offense was led by Sienna Walterson who went 3-4 on the day with 2 rbis, Payton Colbert who went 2 for 3 with 2 doubles and 2 RBIs, and Kaci Velardi who went 1 for 2 with 2 RBIs.

In our Senior Day against Hammonton, Madison Dollard struck out 14 and allowed only 1 run. Madison Biddle led the way going 3 for 4 on the day with 4 RBIs including a 3 run homerun. Anna Valentino went 2 for 4 including a double and an RBI. Seniors Sarah Hickey and Sonia Castro each had a hit an an RBI and Senior Natalia Stewart had 2 walks and 2 stolen bases.

Against Vineland, Madison Biddle went 2 for 4 with a double and a homerun. Sofia Spatocco also went 2 for 4 while Kaci Velardi and Madison Dollard each went 2 for 3 on the day.

We play against rival Kingsway Saturday home at 11 am.

Varsity is out to a hot start with a 9-3 record. Seniors Alex Adair, Michael Nammour, Kevin Le, and Alec Barnes are heading much of the success for the Eagles. The JV team has yet to lose a match going 11-0 so far. The junior varsity squad is led by sophomores Joe Vu, Aseer Saikat, and Abdullah Malik along with juniors Krish Shah, Bill Nguyen, and Jason Mendez. The freshmen team is having an outstanding inaugural season moving to a 5-1 record with a win over Kingsway on Wednesday! The team will host St. Augustine Prep on Monday while celebrating the graduating class of 2023! Come out and support the boys at 5:15pm.

Varsity 4 -- 4th place in final

Lightweight 4 -- silver medal

Junior 4 -- Silver medal

Junior 4 'B' -- 4th in qualifying heat (14th overall)

Novice 8 -- gold medal

Novice 4 -- Sixth in final

The Boys team raced hard and ended with 3 fourth place finishes:

Novice 8 -4th

2V8 -4th

V8- 4th

On Tuesday, the Eagles flew to the difficult track of Eastlyn Golf Club, where they split the tri-match with Millville and Mainland. Sophomore Chase Adomaitis led the way with a 42 while freshman Juliana Duggan (46), senior Mikey Oberman (47) and sophomore Olivia Nehmad (47) rounded out the scoring.

On Wednesday, the Eagles continued their dominance on home soil against the RedHawks of ACIT, once again protecting their nest to remain unbeaten at home. Senior JP Hammer and Olivia Nehmad led the way with matching 45s, while juniors Carson Bellak (48) and Jake Barnhart (49) rounded out the scoring.

On Thursday, the Eagles competed in the prestigious Carl Arena Golf tournament at RiverWinds. The boys placed 26th out of 56 teams led by junior Johnny Neveling who finished 40th out of 165 boys. The ladies placed 5th out of 16 teams led by Juliana Duggan who finished 6th out of 47 girls.

The Eagles will travel north on Monday to compete in the NJSIAA South/Central Group 4 Sectional Tournament at Charleston Springs.

EHT competed at the SJ Elite meet tonight.

Top 24 individuals from every event from every school in South Jersey competed.

-Ahmad Fogg won the LJ with a jump of 22’8”

-Sean Dever won the Javelin with a throw 160’

-Chris Griffin came in 3rd in the Javelin with a throw 156’

-Ryan Taylor came in 6th in 3200 with a time of 9:30

-Christopher Manzo came in 10th in the 400 with a time of 51.8

Girls Lacrosse has continued to work hard this season and played with everything they had in the Ocean City game on 05/03/23.

Highlights were : Taylor Lear with 3 Goals & 4 Draw Controls, Angelina Petracci with 1 Goal and 3 Assists, Jossalyn Gagnon with 1 Goal and Skyler Wood with 1 Goal!

Also a big congratulations to Sophomore Goalie, Suhayla Johnson-Ramirez who had 13 saves, 2 interceptions and made hit 100 saves in 1 season!
