Test Tips for Parent-Student Discussions
Practice at home - Item samplers provide examples of the types of questions that are on the test. These can be accessed at home and practiced. You can find item samplers for each grade on the PearsonAccess website. http://minnesota.pearsonaccessnext.com/ and click on preparing for testing. Online test tutorials are also available.
More information on the MCAs can be accessed on the Minnesota Department of Education Website. http://education.state.mn.us/MDE/fam/tests/.
Parents of 11th graders should have a conversation with their child and check-in to make sure they are signed up for the appropriate test. The majority of the students take the ACT, but taking the ASVAB is also an option.
Tuesday, May 9, eLearning Day
Please note that students will have an eLearning Day on Tuesday, May 9. Students should log into Infinite Campus for attendance and complete course work via the LMS Schoology.
Driver's Education Options
- Learn how to drive with Mr. Johnson! Enhanced Driving Institute will be holding a driver’s ed class here at Triton, June 5th – 16th (2 weeks, M-F) from 9:00-noon. The class will be held in the Middle School Media Center. The three Behind the Wheel lessons would be held at the Rochester location. The Complete Package, which includes 30 classroom and 6 hours BTW has a program agreement starting the first day of class. That package will allow you to obtain your blue card so you can drive! There is also a Classroom Only option that can be purchased that is not subject to a program agreement. This may be an option for those younger than age 15. If you have questions ask Mr. Johnson or visit the website for more detailed information and to register https://www.enhanceddrivinginstitute-mn.com/triton
- St. Joseph Driving School is available for behind the wheel with pick up and drop off at home or school. Students or parents may call 507-259-7675 or 507-634-6293 to set up driving instruction. They are not offering classroom instruction at this time, however students have the option to do classroom online or in person with any driving school in the state of Minnesota.
