Auditions are coming up for next year's Bel Canto choir! Auditions are open to students who will be sophomores, juniors, and seniors next year, including lottery/transfer students. There is a video audition option for those who are unable to attend a live audition at PHHS. Scan the QR code for all information!
ACT ASPIRE+ TESTING INFORMATION
Help our Debate Team get to Nationals!
Our Debate Team has qualified several students for National Debate Tournaments this summer. These tournaments take place in Louisville, Kentucky and Phoenix, Arizona! Our students need your help to get there! Donations will go towards travel fees, lodging, and transportation while they are there. This is an incredible experience and we are proud of our Debate Team and all of their hard work!
The PHHS football team is having an exciting anti-bullying fundraiser with the help of DCW!! We will be having a family friendly professional wrestling event here at the high school on April 15!! You won’t want to miss this!! To get your tickets before they sell out, use the QR code, talk to one of the football players or coaches, or ask Burgundi in the front office!!!

Dixie High School Obstacle Course Challenge

Dixie High School, 350 E 700 S, St George, UT 84770
0800-1600. Bus leaves at 0400 on Sat, 15 Apr from the high school. We expect to be back in Herriman about 2100 (9:00 pm)
Events:
- Team obstacle course (4 people make a team / Teams may be all female or open division (best performers whether male or female)
- Individual obstacle course
- Push-up competition
- 60 yard relay (4 people make a team / Teams may be all female or open division (best performers whether male or female)

Participants will be given lunch free of charge, but should bring approximately $15 for dinner for the trip home

National Federation of the Blind Scholarships
All scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic excellence, community service, and leadership. The finalists are announced every spring. They then attend our national convention in July when the winners of each individual scholarship are selected. The following requirements apply to all applicants: Must be legally blind (PDF) in both eyes; Must be residing in the United States, the District of Columbia, or Puerto Rico; Must be pursuing or planning to pursue a full-time, post-secondary course of study in a degree program at a U.S. institution in the fall of the year of application; Must participate in the entire NFB National Convention and in all of its scheduled scholarship program activities (finalists will receive assistance to attend the national convention).

Beyond the Cure Ambassador Scholarship Program
Applicants must be a childhood cancer survivor under the age of 25 and diagnosed before the age of 18 with cancer or a high grade or anaplastic brain tumor, a citizen of the United States living within the country and attending school in the U.S., and accepted into a post-secondary school for the fall semester of upcoming academic year.

The Civilian Marksmanship Program is proud to provide this scholarship program for deserving high school seniors who excel in marksmanship! The Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) offers $1,000, one-year scholarship assistance to qualified junior marksmen in order to encourage and reward their outstanding efforts.

1,000 Dreams Scholarship Fund
All women enrolled in a U.S. based institution – high school, college, university, graduate school, etc. – are able to apply regardless of citizenship. You must show proof of current enrollment in a United States based school. You may be awarded up to $1,000 to fund your dreams. This educational assistance can include needs such as, but not limited to: educational conferences, instructional programs related to creative or artistic pursuits, graduate exam application fees, and textbooks. Ongoing needs such as tuition, room and board fees, etc. are not covered by this fund.

Dutch and Ginger Arver Scholarship (Avionics Technician and Aircraft Maintenance Technician)
Available to a high school senior or college student who plans to attend or is attending an accredited school in an avionics or aircraft maintenance program. Award is $1,500.

Utah Independent Agents (UIA) Scholarship Program
The Utah Independent Agents (UIA) is offering a minimum of three scholarships ranging from $500 to $2000 in 2023 to Utah high school seniors who have maintained at least a 3.0 GPA and are active in extracurricular activities through their school, church, community or work. Financial need by applicants will be considered.

Korean Ancestry Grant
At least seven new Korean Ancestry Grants, with a maximum grant of $12,000 will be available for the 2023-2024 academic year. Applicants must be of Asian ancestry, with at least one Asian grandparent. There is a strong preference for applicants of Korean ancestry. The minimum GPA to apply is 3.50.

Lockheed Martin STEM Scholarship
Eligible students must be a U.S. citizen and high school senior with a 2.5 or above GPA (or undergraduate student), and be a current or planned 4-year degree enrollment in the following majors: Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Physics. Each year, the STEM Scholarship Program awards $10,000 to 200 recipients studying engineering or computer science at a 4-year college or university. Recipients may renew the scholarship up to three times for a total potential value of $40,000 per student.

Mattress Nerd's Scholarship
Mattress Nerd has been paying attention to the many voices of students across the globe who have recently been calling for a change in our living habits and the way we consume and recycle. We’d love to hear from more students with a dedication to sustainability and conscientious buying so we can build on our own knowledge and be a contributor to offering an insight on how people can live more environmentally friendly. The best essay will be awarded a $1,000 scholarship for their contribution to this important cause. Domestic, international, and undocumented students may apply.

University of Utah "Strong Start" Program
Here at the U, we believe a “Strong Start” leads to a strong finish. Our summer academic and residential programs will provide an engaging and transformative experience to a diverse group of 300 first-year students. Our goal is to not only help you acclimate yourself to life at the U, but thrive in your college experience, setting you up for a bright academic career. Strong Start takes place during the second summer session from June 23 – August 2. Students will enroll in a math or writing course, and a general education course at one of the top research universities in the country, fulfilling some general education requirements, all while building meaningful academic and social relationships that will last a lifetime. This is not a scholarship-- it requires tuition but there are financial aid options available.

Young Technology Scholar (YTS) Award
Micro Focus and the Utah State Board of Education (USBE) are pleased to sponsor the
annual Young Technology Scholar (YTS) Award. This award is granted to high school
seniors who have demonstrated proficiency in computer information technology related
courses and leadership abilities in their schools and communities. All applicants must be high school seniors enrolled in a Utah High School program who have taken or are currently taking an Information Technology Course(s), have passed a specific industry exam certification(s), want to attend a Utah Institute of Higher Education and who have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0.

American Bus Association (ABA) Academic Merit Scholarship
Academic Merit Scholarships are open to both ABA and non-ABA Members. You must be a freshman, sophomore, junior, senior or graduate student at an accredited university (4-year university/college or junior college). You must have a declared major or course of study relevant to the transportation, travel, and tourism industry. Transportation, travel and tourism encompass a varying range of professions from accounting to hospitality management and everything in between. In other words, please apply rather than ruling yourself out because of your major. However, you will be required to submit a short essay on how your major or course of study is relevant to the transportation, travel, and tourism industries. Two $5,000 scholarships available.

Edwards Scholarship
This program is supported by the Edwards Lifesciences Foundation and managed by Scholarship America. Through this program, we award 12 four-year scholarships of $2,500 per year ($10,000 in total) to high school seniors from either Orange County, California or Salt Lake County, Utah or Puerto Rico or be a child (or in the guardianship) of an Edwards Lifesciences employee who are pursuing bachelor’s degrees in STEM fields.
