Good Evening Yowell Families,

There are several things I want to mention that you won't want to miss. First, this Wednesday is our fall picture day. Students will have their pictures taken during their resource class. We have switched vendors from Strawbridge to Barksdale. We are hopeful to have a better product than we've experienced before. You should have received an order envelope this past week. If you need an order form please contact the office.

Our Back to School Night has returned to Yowell. This Wednesday, September 20th from 5:30-6:30pm we invite each family to come and meet your child's reading teacher. We have switched for reading in all grade levels and this will give you an opportunity to meet that teacher as well.

Thank you for all your support of our fall fundraiser. The Yowell community was able to raise $32,000 for our students. Through this money, we are able to give our students a Day of Awesome which is about an hour of running from enormous bounce house to bounce house with all of their friends. It's like a dream birthday party! We also raised money to start to put toward playground equipment. Without your support, none of this would be possible. Thank you to your network of friends and family who helped to support our school-wide fundraiser.

In an effort to assist schools and parents with current information about bus changes, transportation has added a new item on their website called: Transportation - Morning Update. The direct link can be found here.

We will be posting departure times for buses each day to assist parents with receiving their child from the bus stop. Please check this document each afternoon.

We are happy to have a School Resource Officer (SRO) this year at Yowell. You can contact Deputy Sinclair with any concerns you have with school safety or anything that would be related to criminal activity.
