Booktalk of the Month By Mrs. Ihrke (Reading Interventionist)
Do you like books that make you laugh? If so, you may enjoy reading the book The Day the Crayons Quit by Drew Daywalt. This story is about a boy named Duncan who has a serious problem! Duncan wants to color at school, but when he opens his crayon box he finds letters from his crayons, each detailing why they’ve decided to quit. Do you think Duncan can convince his crayons to come back home and do what they do best?
