Tadlock Elementary

Our annual Watch D.O.G.S. Pizza night is THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 21ST at 6:30pm in the school cafeteria. Watch D.O.G.S. is an innovative program currently being used by over 2,000 schools across America giving fathers and father figures the opportunity to make a positive impact in their child’s school. Our goal is for every father figure to spend at least one full day in the halls of Tadlock as a positive male presence and to provide an extra set of eyes and ears for our kids.

A Flyer went out to each family last week in the youngest child’s school folder. Let us know you're coming! Please RSVP by Sept 19th by filling out the Pizza Night form on the Tadlock Watch D.O.G.S. website or by completing the form attached to the flyer and returning it to your child’s teacher by no later than Tuesday (9/19). Please return one form per family. At this time we will only be able to accommodate Tadlock students and their father figure. No pre-schoolers please.

Watch D.O.G.S. are identified by their official Watch D.O.G.S. uniform t-shirt. You will be able to order shirts during Pizza Night. The t-shirt design is unchanged from last year (wearing your old Watch D.O.G.S t-shirt is permitted). Watch D.O.G.S. uniform t-shirts are $15 ($21 for 2XL & 3XL), cash or check.

So, gentlemen, come enjoy a free pizza night with your Tadlock student(s) and learn more about the Watch D.O.G.S. program. All we need is your RSVP. See you Thursday!

Please join us from 8am-9am in the library for our first parent coffee of the year. Four heads are better than one. Mrs. Rapp (Principal), Ms. Gales (Assistant Principal), Mrs. Perry (Counselor), and Mrs. Hoppe (Instructional Coach) will go through what we do, how each of us support the school in different ways, and how we can partner together to help your children thrive and have the most amazing school year. Ask those burning questions and learn and grow with us. We will walk through tips and tools for the most frequently addressed situations. If you have a question that you aren’t sure about asking or have always wanted to know, please send it to perrysa@friscoisd.org or to the link here along with the RSVP so we can make sure we address it.

We are bringing back Room Parents to Tadlock Elementary this year. Our goal is to lighten the load on our teachers, coordinate volunteers for PTA and classroom activities, and make a difference for all the children in our classrooms!

All parent volunteers must complete a background check on the Frisco ISD website, Each Room Parent must also be a member of the PTA, so please fill out a membership form if you have not already. The parent sign up link will be available for one week on the Tadlock PTA website, following the Room Parent Orientation meeting on September 15th. AWARENESS MEETING

What is Destination Imagination? Do you have questions about the program? Are you wondering how to get involved? Are you interested in forming a team for DI? Then, you are invited to our Destination Imagination Awareness Meeting!

*Please note that there are several new policies this school year in regards to Frisco ISD and Destination Imagination, so we hope to see you there.

Our first Tadlock Spirit Night of the year will be Tuesday, September 26th at Chick Fil A, Preston Rd. and Gary Burns Rd. Take the family by for breakfast, lunch, or dinner between 6:00 AM and 9:00 PM! Be sure to tell them you are with Tadlock Elementary in order for us to receive the donation! 15% of the amount earned in sales will benefit Tadlock! :) It would be a treat to provide the teachers and staff with lunch that day! Sign up on the PTA website to bring lunch to a specific staff member! See you on the 26th!

• Report Bullying Behaviors We work daily to ensure a safe and positive environment on campus. Students meet weekly for classroom meetings to create that sense of family and comfort.
