YEC isn't just for graduating seniors!
YEC isn’t just for middle and high school students... It’s for K-5 kids, too!
This year, elementary students who attend YEC are invited to our first-ever Community Fair at Kona Kai, where all YEC families will kick off the week’s festivities! The YEC schedule holds so many opportunities for K-5 kids and their families to connect and celebrate – including a trip to the San Diego Zoo, a museum visit at Balboa Park, and a movie night where we’ll watch Moana and play trivia!
Click here to purchase your student ticket(s). Registration closes on April 4, so don’t wait!
View the comprehensive YEC schedule, hotel information, and other FAQs here. If you have additional questions, please email our events team at events@laurelsprings.com.

Story of the Week
Friends come in all sorts of shapes and sizes. In Amos McGee's case, all sorts of species, too! Every day he spends a little bit of time with each of his friends at the zoo, running races with the tortoise, keeping the shy penguin company, and even reading bedtime stories to the owl. But when Amos is too sick to make it to the zoo, his animal friends decide it's time they returned the favor.

Free Online Library
Reading every day has many benefits. It improves reading skills, relieves stress, and exercises your brain. Laurel Springs is happy to introduce you to an optional online library that students and families can use called ReadLife Bookshelf. This free resource offers access to digital books for all levels - children, families, and adults. Students can search for books by their age category (3-5 years old, 6-8 years old, and 9-12 years old). If you know that you are going to be away from Internet access, you can download a digital book from this site and read it offline.
Once you visit this site, you have the option of setting up a free account...just scroll to the bottom of the page. This will allow you to pick up your favorite books exactly where you left off! If you would rather not create an account, you are still able to access and read books whenever you would like!
Use of this resource is not required by Laurel Springs, but we wanted you to have access in case it proves useful to you and your family!
