Week-At-A-Glance
May 8th-12th, 2023
Weekly Communication Tool
Happy to be sharing our newsletter tool, Smore! This will allow me to send regular updates, share pictures, and give a head's up for important information. If grade levels have information that is pertinent to the entire staff, please share it with me by Friday of each week and I can add it to our Newsletter!
Safety Changes
- Begin to wear your badges to get in and out of buildings. The key code has been changed.
- The alarm to the building will begin to be set.
- If you need to work over the weekend or over holiday breaks, contact Mrs. Bryant or Mr. Baker. You should not be at the school alone or without us knowing.
- Ensure all windows are locked and closed at all times.
- When students are present, doors should be locked and closed.
- When staff members leave their rooms, doors should be locked and closed.
- If staff members encounter someone in the building without identification, ask them to report to the front office to sign in. (Even if it's a familiar face)
- Condition students to NEVER open doors (especially exterior doors) for anyone (especially adults - Even if it's a familiar face). If students are coming late and you ask a student to open the door for a classmate, that's fine.
- Help ensure that students are not spilling liquids in the hallway and if you see liquids, please report it to the front office.
- Do Not Prop Doors Open for any reason!

2. SUPERVISE! SUPERVISE! SUPERVISE!
- We need high visibility in the hallway upon arrival and especially at dismissal.
- Don't allow multiple students to go to the restroom at one time.
- Do not release students at dismissal before their mode of transportation is called.
3. Recess should not be extended nor allowed in the middle of your instruction.
4. Ensure that students arrive at specials and are picked up from specials on time, not early, and not late.
5. Rooms assignments for SY24 will be shared in the coming weeks. Please do not begin to move your things. The custodial staff has asked that you just label your belongings and they will place them in the correct classroom.
