Message from Mrs. Phelan
Greetings!
Here we are in the final weeks of 2022. As we finish out this year I am extremely grateful for all the support and patience the Lowell community has graciously demonstrated during a very challenging calendar year. We began the year moving from our beloved Lowell into two separate buildings which truly spilt our staff apart physically. However, the physical space between the schools has only helped us grow closer as a staff during this time. We have worked at maintaining the feeling of one school in two buildings. I have marveled at the kindness the staff has shown each other as they tackle many classroom changes and confined spaces.
We have over 25 staff members who travel between the Phillips and Lowell West every day to work with children in every grade. Not once has a teacher or staff member ever complained about the inconvenience this has caused to their everyday experience. The students have been as equally flexible as our staff. Once and while you'll hear how they miss playing soccer our beautiful ball field but only in the sweetest of ways.
The good news is we are more than half-way to returning to Lowell School. 2023 is going to be a fabulous year! Thank you again for all your support.
The students have earn another Pajama Day for working so hard on their i-Ready Assessments. Friday, December 23rd is Pajama Day!
I hope you all enjoy your winter break and happy holidays!
With a grateful heart,
Mrs. Phelan

5Essentials Parent/Caregiver Survey
Please take the 5Essentials Parent/Caregiver Survey. We need a minimum participation rate of 20 percent for the results to be reported by the subgroup specifying parents/caregivers. Currently our participation rate is 11%. Please take the time to give us feedback.
A Message from the Recreational Dept. and Peter Centola
Because of demand, we have added two popular programs which might be of interest to your students.
On Thursday nights at the Hosmer School gym, we will be offering the following:
Junior All Sports: 6:30 to 7:30
All Sports: 7:45 to 8:45.
I know most want the programs to be after school, but we are limited with gym times.
Thus, the night program offerings.
Certainly, our Lowell School parents have been reaching out for some recreation offerings since the Lowell School is under construction.
In addition to the above programs, we have other recreation opportunities specifically on Saturday and Sunday’s that might be of interest as well. I have included some documentation which summarizes our program offerings for Winter Session I.
Last request, we are looking for additional staff if anyone of your interns, teachers’ assistants might be interested in employment.
Could you please share with your families and staff?
Thank you for your time!
Have a great weekend!
Peter
