Code Blue Drill 9/25/19
Dear Parents or Guardian,
The safety and welfare of our students and staff are our highest priority at Savannah Grove Elementary School. At 8:30 a.m. this morning, we conducted a school wide lockdown drill. Our plan is to practice safety drills monthly throughout the year to help our staff and students know what to do in an emergency.
Our school is working closely with district representatives and local authorities to correctly develop and implement safety procedures. The goals of drills throughout the school year are to improve our ability to protect students, save lives, and reduce injuries. The practices allow us to evaluate our emergency operation plans and improve our response skills.
We were able to gather some important information from our drill this morning and are already working on ways to improve our safety plans.
Please talk to your child, if you deem it appropriate, about the drill. Our goal, while practicing important safety procedures, is to be sure all students feel safe.
