Alpha Kappa Psi- Beta Nu Newsletter

Welcome to our new Beta Nu Newsletter! We are all so excited about this and look forward to reconnecting with all of you! This first newsletter is essentially a wrap up about what we have done in the previous year. All future newsletters will recap what happened in the month previous. Below you will find our schedule for the fall semester. This will be included in all future newsletters and will be updated as needed. Alumni are welcome to ANY & ALL events.

At PBLI, we had six teams compete in a case competition which involved helping a small, brother-run business get back on its feet. The competitors learned about niche markets, business plans, and budgeting in a real life setting. They also participated in a leadership seminar when not competing. The University of Wyoming earned first and second place at PBLI Orlando. The first place team consisted of Haylee Hodges, Jordan Scaman, Sara Ott, and Stephanie Domencico, while the second place team was made up of Christy Bessert, Joey Cohen, and Maddie Curry. At PBLI Dallas, UW was recognized again, as Aspen Ruane, Josiah Flores, and Marie Makepeace were awarded third place! Congratulations again to all participants! They did an outstanding job and made all of Beta Nu so proud!

The Beta Nu Chapter of Alphpa Kappa Psi raised $3,260.85 at Relay for Life at the University of Wyoming, taking first place at the school! We also had the top individual fundraiser, Meridian Riley, who raised over $700 for the event!

The 2015 Convention was held in Norfolk, Virginia. Attendees from Beta Nu included Ashley Golden, Cori Seikert, Danielle Fisch, Heather Baker, Josiah Flores, Maddie Curry, Michael Rotellini, and Sara Ott. They received the travel award for most accumulative miles from any chapter, attended College of Leadership sessions, participated in Chapter Congress and Celebration of Brotherhood, and had the opportunity to tour around the Chesapeake Bay and the rest of Norfolk itself. We hope to see you all in Vegas for the 2017 Convention!

*McCallister's Night and the Flapjack Fundraiser are events that we would love for you to come to and help support us! You can help by eating at McCallister's between 5-9pm and showing them an AKPsi flyer. Thee Flapjack Fundraiser will be held at the Applebee's in Laramie from 8-10am. Tickets are $7 a piece and can be purchased ahead of time through a member, or at the door on the day of the event!
