September 18-22
Walkersville High School
Fair Day is Friday! Running blocks 1 & 2. Students released at 10:45.
Principal's Message
Dear Walkersville Community,
Congratulations to over 300 students who earned awards from PTSA for Academic Excellence this past Tuesday. The current 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students received the honor for maintaining a weighted 3.5 GPA or earning straight A's last year. Thanks to the PTSA for sponsoring this annual event. This year is starting to fly by already, and if you can believe it, midterm is on Friday the 22nd. That is also Fair Day, and students will be dismissed at 10:45 that day. Due to the abbreviated schedule, we will only run blocks 1 & 2, and any students attending morning CTC, AFA, or ROTC will still go to their classes. Additionally, there is no school on Monday the 25th. Lastly, Homecoming is right around the corner. We will have our annual Homecoming Parade and game on September 29th. The dance will take place on the 30th at WHS from 7-10; see details below.
I hope everyone enjoys the weekend!
Dr. Stephanie Ware
Principal

This dance is always more successful due to our parent volunteers. Thank you to any parents who are willing to donate food/water for the dance, help decorate for the dance Saturday afternoon, volunteer at the snack table or chaperone during the dance - sign up with the PTSA.
