Dear CES Family,

Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year! We are underway next Monday, August 28th, and we can't wait to see you and your kids. I would like to announce our teaching staff for the upcoming school year. A more detailed announcement of staff is forthcoming, but in the meantime, here you go:

The PUSD calendar and the bell schedule for the year can be found below (click on the buttons). A reminder that the school day starts at 8:10 and ends at 2:40. Please note that the school day is ten minutes longer than last year. Students may start arriving on campus starting at 7:45 for breakfast. As was the case last year, breakfast and lunch are free for all students this year.

Office hours are 7:45-3:45 daily, Monday through Friday. Mrs. Peterson (npeterson@pcoe.k12.ca.us / 258-3194, ext. 1201) is our fantastic administrative assistant and Mrs. Gerbatz (cgerbatz@pcoe.k12.ca.us / 258-3194, ext. 1202) is back as our most excellent attendance clerk. Please don't hesitate to reach out to either of them with any questions you might have about Chester Elementary School.

An FYI that we have three remaining openings for our after-school program. This is a great service to our students and parents and runs from the release time for all students until 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Mrs. Cheli (wcheli@pcoe.k12.ca.us), the program coordinator, runs an amazing program for our kids. Please contact her or Mrs. Peterson for registration information or with any questions you might have.
