From the desk of Mrs. Quinn
Greetings from the Wilton School Library! Something “fishy” is going on in the library this year. Ask your child(ren) about the new décor (I have an Ocean Theme)! This summer I grouped all the books into age-appropriate sections as a guide to help them when fishing for a good book. Students are welcome to read any book that is at their reading level. Sometimes this does not correlate with the grade they are currently in. That’s OK. People enjoy reading what interests them, not what makes them struggle. If you, the parent or guardian, prefer your child NOT read something in particular, please email me. I will respect your wishes for your child.
We are still missing some books from last year that weren’t returned before the school year ended. If you get a notice in the mail, please either bring the book back by the due date in the notice or send payment for the book.
We started off this year by learning about three libraries, which I will highlight for you below. Logins have been disbursed to most of our student population. I am still in the process of disbursing the remainder.
1) https://tinyurl.com/2p8rw6c9 This is the link to the Wilton School Library. Anyone can click on the link and browse our selection from any device with an internet connection. If patrons wish to reserve a book for themselves, they must login. All staff/students at Wilton Public School have a unique login. A person cannot read the books from this site, only reserve them. Then they may either stop in the library to pick up their reserved book or I can deliver it to their classroom.
2) https://ndlibrary2go.overdrive.com/ The Bookmobile is part of a library consortium. This link is the North Dakota Overdrive consortium. All students at Wilton Public School have a unique login. Students may browse digital items from any device with an internet connection. If they wish to checkout an item, they must login. There are thousands of eBooks, audiobooks, videos and magazines to choose from. All items are digital, not physical! The login is also used for Overdrive’s phone app: Libby. (Available from your phone’s Play/App Store).
3) kids.getepic.com/students This online library operates within school hours only (7 AM-3 PM, according to their website). Students login with a Class Code from Mrs. Quinn. If they have already visited this site this year, they can just click on Mrs. Quinn’s name. No need to put in a Class Code. If students try to access this site after 3 PM, it will ask for parents to subscribe. At this point, I leave it up to each family to determine if they want a subscription or not. This library has more elementary-level (rather than middle/high school level) audiobooks, eBooks, read-alouds and videos.
If students lost their logins, they should come see me and I will get them their login. As always, if students cannot find their treasured book in these libraries, they may always ask me to get it from the ND State Library.
I look forward to a great year of reading this year! With all these options available, all students should be able to “Find Your Treasure in the Library!!”

From the desk of Ms. Enander
Hello all! My name is Ms. Enander and I am the new music teacher joining Mrs. Haugen at Wilton Public School. I am teaching 2nd-5th grade music, 5th grade band and co-teaching JH and HS band with Mrs. Haugen. I am so excited to be back at Wilton Public School again after student teaching here last fall. I am having an amazing time with the students so far and I look forward to lots of musical fun to come!
Musically,
Ms. Enander
