Student Uniforms
Student uniforms were distributed yesterday (Thursday, September 12th) for students to bring home. Students will begin wearing their designated program-area uniforms to Reese Center on Monday, September 16th. “Reese casual” will also begin on Friday, September 20th. Please see below for general uniform information:
Every student at Reese Center is expected to wear a uniform, unique to his/her program area, Monday through Thursday of each week. The uniform pieces have been selected with the help of Fort Bend ISD CTE’s industry partners, in accordance with workplace and/or technical school/college expectations. The pieces are also intended to meet safety and sanitation standards for our program areas, as well as present a professional appearance. The guidelines below outline the requirements of the uniform for each program area. Instructors for each program area can provide further clarification on uniform pieces.
On Friday of each week, students have the option to participate in a “Reese casual” day, similar to “teacher jeans days” or “business casual” that an employee would experience at a job site. On Fridays, students may choose to wear the campus-provided Reese Center black and white t-shirt with appropriate jeans (no holes above knee) or appropriate shorts or skirts (mid-thigh or longer, no biker shorts, etc). Additionally, some program area students are working to design an optional program-specific t-shirt to be purchased to wear on Friday. Instructors will communicate with students if lab activities require students wear uniform pieces on Friday as well.
