Reports Galore!
Today, we sent home mid-terms, AIMS, and i-Ready reports. Please see below for information about each.
Mid-Terms
It's hard to believe we're over half way through the 1st quarter! These reports are to help provide you with a snapshot of how your child is doing in class, however you are welcome to view your child's grades at anytime using PowerSchool.
AIMSweb Reports
These are the same reports as those that have been sent home in the past. AIMSweb is a benchmark reading assessment given three times a year and is designed to gauge student ability and inform instruction.
i-Ready Diagnostic Results
i-Ready assessments identify individual strength and weaknesses in English Language Arts and Math through an adaptive assessment. Results of that assessment create customized learning plans that are data-driven and based on individual student needs. Here are a couple of links that can provide you with more information regarding the program and score reports.
Falcon Wear
For those that ordered Falcon Wear.... These items are set to arrive next week and will be sent home with students once it is received
Congratulations! Hall of Fame!
The 2006 and 2007 Blair Oaks Baseball teams were being inducted into the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame in Columbia on November 20th.
The Blair Oaks Falcons captured consecutive Class 2 state championships in 2006 and 2007, the first such titles for the program. With coach Brian Ash leading the way, the Falcons combined for a 43-2 mark over those two seasons, including a perfect 22-0 record in 2007. It all started in 2006, when Blair Oaks made history by winning its first state title. Four All-State selections, including first teamers Kyle Henke, Travis Henke and Jared Verslues, led the Falcons to a 4-2 victory against South Pemiscot in Columbia. The 2007 squad opened the season with a No. 1 preseason ranking and cruised through to the title game in Springfield, where the Falcons appeared to be in control late, as Houston clawed back from an 8-3 deficit and took a 10-8 lead in the top of the seventh. Blair Oaks scored five runs in the bottom of the inning for a 13-10 victory. Travis Henke and Justin Eiken earned First Team All-State accolades that season.
