ACCESS Testing for EL Students February 5th - March 8th
EL students take an English language proficiency test every year. Testing helps teachers understand whether students have the language skills they need to fully participate in the classroom. Your child’s teachers use ACCESS for ELLs test scores as they decide how best to teach your child. Test scores also help teachers track your child’s progress in learning academic English and help schools decide what English language support services to provide.
All students who will be participating in this testing will receive a letter from their child's EL teacher before the testing starts.

Missing School: It Adds Up!
When your child attends school regularly and on time, they have the opportunity to excel academically and to establish a positive daily routine for learning.
Regular attendance allows for students to be involved in lessons, develop relationships with their peers, and make the most out of their education. It also gives the teacher the opportunity to assess each student and effectively plan ahead.
Excessive absences can lead to students missing out on important information or falling behind in their learning. Regular school attendance is an important indicator of your child's performance and success as they grow. Simply put, absences add up.
