Divert your old pumpkins from the Landfill and help reduce greenhouse gas emissions by Composting them at the Knox farm!

Do you have pumpkins and jack-o-lanterns sitting around after Halloween, and missed the pumpkin smash bash last week? We've got you covered! You still have time to bring them to the Knox farm this week to be composted.

Drop off pumpkins by the compost bins or at the front of the High Tunnels.

We are happy to meet with you and train you on the process of food scrap drop off at the Knox farm! It is Easy and Fun!

This Monday, November 6th at 8pm, join us to hear from Bon Appetit's Midwestern Fellow, Elise Khulers!

Join the Students for Sustainability (S4S) in the Sustainability Cottage at 8pm for a riveting discussion on sustainability in high education with Elise Khulers! Come hear about how to model and be the change we want to see in the world.

Recent highlights at the Knox Farm!

Thank you to all the volunteers for helping to support Sustainability Initiatives on campus in the Fall Day of Service on November 5th!

Only three more opportunities to volunteer at the Knox Farm for this year!

Join us this week as we finish planting garlic, harvesting ginger, and winterizing the Knox farm!


Our last volunteer session will be Monday, November 13th! 4-5pm.

Join other students interested in Food related issues and food recovery on our campus! Weekly meetings for FRN are at 4pm on Thursdays in the Carl Sandburg Lounge.

Please bring all checked out Bikes to the Bike Shop this week so we can complete our inventory and secure the bikes for winter!

Bike Shop will be open for basic repairs this week and then will be closed for winter break.

For Bike repairs, and other questions please make an appointment by emailing bikeshop-user@knox.edu

This is the LAST week for the Share Shop to be OPEN for FALL term!

Come check out all the FREE items On Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 4-6:30pm!


We also accept donations of gently used appliances, clothing and shoes!


Please bring items that are being donated to the Sustainability Cottage during Reading Days from 12:00- 5:00pm.
