Cross Country Highlights!
18 Wildcat runners competed in our first meet in a field of over 350 runners. We saw some excellent running by both experienced Wildcats and all of our new Wildcat runners as well as multiple new personal records on the course.
Highlights are:
- Sienna Struck finished 10th in the field of 104 runners in the Girls 6-7th with a time of 12:03 and breezing along at 7:47 mile pace! Cassandra Mencias ran at 8:49 mile pace and Audrey Hesselgesser, in her first race, ran at 9:11 pace.
- Jackson Pauley ran up a bracket and competed with the 8th-grade runners. He finished 14th with a time of 10:26, a personal best on the course and a 6:44 mile pace!
- Quiyi Yan, Daniel Montejo, and Emmanual Monsolvo all achieved personal bests on the course with each runner dropping at least 1:20 from their time last year.
- Boys 6-7th, where there were 119 runners, saw both Elijah Tyler and Alex Nord run at a 7:38 mile pace and Ethan Bray, in his first race, ran at a 7:54 pace.
The entire team has trained hard and has improved much, even practicing at 6:15 am on Fridays. Pre-race nerves were replaced by hard work, good running times, a sense of accomplishment at the end of the race, and loud support from teammates and parents. More improvement is on the way!

SECURED CAMPUS AND ENTRANCE INFORMATION
ATTENTION PARENTS!
We are excited to announce that we extended our safety and security for all staff and students by installing a fence around the front of our school! Visitors will be required to bring ID and check in at the Welcome Booth before anyone is permitted on campus.
Only emergency vehicles, buses, those with handicap placards, and those with other special placards have access to the upper lot, emergency lane closest to the front of our schools. You will need to show your placard to Campus Security.
This decision to enforce our existing parking lot plan aligns with the recommendations of our community safety partners and will increase our ability to maintain a safe and secure site:
- When dropping students off, please use the lower levels of the parking lot.
- When visiting either the middle or the high school office, please park in the lower levels, bring your ID to the Welcome booth, and check in with the appropriate staff.
We appreciate your partnership and support in our efforts to provide the highest levels of safety for our students
