Yearbook Photos
Get your pictures in the yearbook! We are asking you to share photos of your student doing the things that got them through this challenging year, such as the first day of school (in person or online), learning from home, spending time with siblings, playing with pets, reading, etc. Help us get as many photos as possible to create a terrific yearbook! Please email picture to Tara Roeder at roeder_tara@svvsd.org by Friday, March 5th. Thank you!

Mrs. Shaffer’s STEM Update
This week our 3-5th grade students jumped back into our Code.org work to refresh our memories about programming. Students in all grade levels can continue this work at home, even when they do not have STEM class. If they need their login information, please feel free to email me. Next week is National Engineers Week (Feb. 21st-27th). In class, we will be conducting an engineering design project using Cubelets. Cubelets are electronic cubes that when combined can create a variety of robots. At home, families can check out “Dream Big: Engineering Our World,” a documentary currently on Netflix that examines incredible achievements of engineering from around the world.
The district Mobile Lab will be visiting Longmont Estates on Friday, Feb. 26th. Families can come check out the lab between 9-11a.m. The first 100 students will receive a take-home design challenge kit. Hope to see you there!
