Every student will take pictures, even if the student isn't ordering. We use the photos for our Student ID cards and Student Information System (SIS).
See the flyer above for the online order code. Paper order forms are in the HS Office as well.
**SCCC students: Please come into the gym BEFORE you leave for SCCC on Tuesday.
What a Week!
Big kudos to the mayor of that village - Rita Shaw and the HS Student Council did a wonderful job pulling everything off!
I also appreciate the effort that went into NWEA testing last week.
Thank you!

The 411 on SCCC
SCCC Students, please reference the SCCC Agreement of Attendance (below) that we discussed on the first day of School regarding what to do on Monday.
(NOTE: If you didn't turn in your Agreement of Attendance yet, you must show up at 8:00 am on Monday.)
SCCC AGREEMENT OF ATTENDANCE
The opportunities made available through the Saline County Career Center (SCCC) go without
question. The hands-on training available to students is a wonderful learning experience. It is
our pleasure to be able to provide quality learning for our students at Slater High School.
These learning opportunities should not be taken lightly. The expectation of our Slater students is to perform their best while at SCCC. It is because of this that we ask both student and parent to commit to regular attendance each day. THIS INCLUDES DAYS THAT SLATER MAY NOT BE IN ATTENDANCE. Students must attend SCCC using the Marshall Public Schools’ calendar. It appears that the Slater Schools’ calendar and Marshall Public Schools’ calendar don’t hav e many differences. (This is subject to change.)
Please note: Marshall Public Schools will not have students attend on the following dates:
September 26, 2022
October 31, 2022
November 28, 2022
January 30, 2023
February 27, 2023
March 27, 2023
April 24, 2023
May 22, 2023
For each of these dates, SCCC students will not be required to check in at the HS Office until
10:45 am IF:
ï‚· The student is in good standing
ï‚· The student has not missed the SCCC bus since the last MPS no school date
If a student fails to meet both of these criteria, he/she will be required to attend SHS from
the First Hour bell and will report to Mrs. Audsley for supervision.
The bus will leave at 7:25 am each morning from the South gravel lot. Students must use Slater Schools’ transportation unless SCCC requests that a student bring his/her own vehicle for class.
If a student misses the bus, he/she should report to the HS Office prior to the First Hour bell.
The student will report to Mrs. Audsley for supervision and should bring an assignment to work on.
In the event of inclimate weather, Slater students will not be expected to attend SCCC if Slater
cancels class or delays the start time. If Marshall cancels or delays classes, Slater students willreport to the HS Office prior to their 4 th hour class. If a student is unsure of whether or not to report, please contact Mrs. Clements by calling or texting 660-631-5298. We will utilize ourThrillShare alert system to notify students and families via text message and social media when we have prior notice of the schools’ decisions regarding cancellation.
Failure to be in regular attendance, barring unusual circumstances, may result in removal fromSCCC. Because of the difficulty to make up hands-on instruction, Five TOTAL absences for the year is typically the limit. Attendance issues might also create problems with enrollment at Slater High School.
Finally, it is the student and parent’s responsibility to see that the student is at the pick-up
point in time for departure to Marshall.
