PSAT SAVE THE DATE - Wednesday, Oct. 4th
Frisco ISD will administer the PSAT, free of charge, to all 10th and 11th grade students on October 4, 2023. The PSAT helps students identify academic areas of strength and growth, as well as prepare for college entrance exams like the SAT. This is also the qualifying test for the National Merit Scholarship Program for students in 11th grade and the National Recognition Programs for both 10th and 11th grade students.
- All 10th and 11th grade students enrolled at Frisco High School are automatically registered for the exam.
- Please avoid scheduling appointments for your student on this day as there is no make-up day for this test.
This fall the PSAT/NMSQT will be administered in a new digital format that will provide an overall easier testing experience for students. High school students are encouraged to opt-in to the District’s 1 for All Chromebook program to ensure device compatibility with online testing.
Accommodations in a student’s IEP or Section 504 plan do not automatically apply to College Board exams like the PSAT. Parents must contact Lisa Natali at Natalil@friscoisd.org to submit all required documents by August 11, 2023, if a student needs to add or change accommodations with the College Board’s Services for Students with Disabilities. Additional information can be found on the district website.
Students can access PSAT/NMSQT Study Guide 2023 to prepare.
CELL PHONE POLICY
For planning purposes, we wanted to make you aware of our cell phone policy. During instructional time, a student’s cell phone should be located in their belongings/bags and in the area designated by the teacher. To maintain an appropriate learning environment, cell phones should not be visible/used during instruction unless allowed by the teacher for an instructional purpose. Please keep this in mind when attempting to communicate with your student. We appreciate your understanding.
