I can't believe the end of the 1st quarter is upon us. We hope your child(ren) is having a wonderful school year so far. As a reminder, our Wednesday and Friday dismissal times are switched this week. Wednesday ends at 2:10 p.m., and Friday at 1:10 p.m., to mark the end of the quarter.
The start of the second quarter is Tuesday, October 17th. Parent-teacher conferences will be from October 30th to Nov 3rd. After parent-teacher conference week, will mark the return of our after-school clubs. Information on club offerings, dates, and times will be forthcoming. Otherwise, we wish you a safe and relaxing fall break. Take care, and let's have a great end to the quarter.
Sincerely,

It's that time again for Hickam's Annual Storybook Pumpkin Decorating Contest!! Students can decorate a FAKE pumpkin into their favorite storybook character! Students will write their name at the bottom of the pumpkin, not visible for the voters to see. Students must also turn in a notecard that the students will say the name of the storybook character, the title of the book, and a brief statement about their pumpkin character.
All pumpkin entries need to be turned in by October 20, 2023 in the Media Center. If pumpkins are done prior to October 20, students may drop them off to the L&L before school.
Hickam Faculty and Staff will vote for the pumpkin based on originality, creativity, and relevance to the book. There will be a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winner for each grade level. This is an optional school activity for students to participate in, but must complete at home.
