Counseling with Ms. Katnik
We have discussed a variety of important topics in Counseling this month! We talked about the importance of demonstrating perseverance and working hard, having positive self-esteem and confidence in ourselves and our abilities, being a good friend to others and surrounding ourselves with good friends, and knowing how to navigate social situations and interact with others in a positive manner. Throughout this month, we also had the opportunity to review and practice the following mindfulness techniques in Counseling: Mindful Melt, Breathing Ball, Back to Back Breathing, and Deep Belly Breathing. You can expand on what we have discussed in Counseling at home by having a conversation with your child about any of the topics we have covered and asking them to demonstrate and/or share with you how to do some of the mindfulness techniques we did together in class!
Starting Soon...5th Grade Band Introductions
5th graders will have an opportunity to meet BHS Band Director/Teacher, Mrs. Lechner, and learn all about Middle School Band before they transition next year. They will get to learn about the different instrument options, hear demonstrations, and even figure out which instrument they might be best suited to play. Stay tuned for more information!
